"Crocodile Dance" - in development

Crocodile Dance is an independent animated feature currently in development, led by Shofela Coker, with myself serving as co-director, and Ingrid de Beer as producer. The film is a mythic African futurist thriller centered on Roukia, a musical storyteller who confronts the Mami Wata.

The project has gained early momentum through a successful Kickstarter campaign, recognition on various platforms and awards at international animation and film festivals.

Crocodile Dance explores themes of voice, transformation, inheritance, and self-authorship. It's an African musical tale (though not a musical), and a special project that we are set on bringing to life.
